Zwischen Hustle-Culture und ewiger Sinnsuche feiern Flosse lieber das ziellose Treiben als ehrliche Antwort auf eine Zeit, in der niemand mehr so genau weiß, wofür man sich eigentlich noch abrackern soll.

Nach dem Vorgänger Anomia wagt das Quartett mit seinem zweiten Album Lotterleben weitere Schritte zwischen Dadaistisch anmutendem Post-Jazz, Avantgarde und Indie, wobei sie ihre ganz eigene, humorvolle und experimentierfreudige Sprache weiter formulieren und schärfen.

Chaotic and amiable, playful and experimental, FLOSSE creates an atmospheric and varied soundtrack that crosses musical boundaries and challenges common conventions in a new way. In doing so, they combine the acoustic sound and tradition of a harmony-less quartet with elements of jazz / avant-garde and indie. Rhythmic complexity and free improvisation contrast with sensitive and song-like melodies and the warm sound of the two wind instruments. A harmony instrument is deliberately omitted in order to achieve more freedom and flexibility in improvisation. The main interest lies in the communication between the musicians and the resulting spontaneity. A prerequisite to combine virtuosity, jazz tradition and humor in an entertaining way with playful ease, wit and joy of experimentation.
